IDE to CF (compact flash) hard drive for Amiga 4000

This adaptor fits in a PCI backplane slot at the rear of your big box Commodore Amiga 2000, 3000, 4000 or even A1200 if in a tower or big box casing. You can use Compact Flash cards as a hard drive on your Amiga with a nice slot at the back to insert the compact flash cards or remove them and swap them etc..

A nice upgrade that provides a silent hard drive replacement with very low access times.

CF Type-I and CF II, IBM Microdrive are supported. This is tested to work with 4GB compact flash cards which are the main ones that tend to be used in Amigas, make sure you have a reliable and compatible genuine compact flash. Some larger CF cards may work but we are unable to test which ones.

To fit just remove the existing IDE hard drive and use the same cable to plug in this Compact flash adaptor instead - OR fit as a second drive if you have a 40 pin cable and other slots available. Note please check your internal Amiga connections as this is a 40pin adaptor NOT a 44 pin.

You need the following:

  • Amiga with IDE interface
  • IDE cable
  • Amiga Compatible 4gb Compact Flash card

Note: No returns accepted due to being sold for use with retro computers however these adaptors also should work fine in Mac and PC too if you would like to add a Compact Flash port to the rear of your computer.
